A Harmonious Blend of Contemporary and Traditional Chinese Design

The VLim House project involved enhancing a previously plain interior by introducing a blend of modern and traditional Chinese elements. The owner sought to elevate the atmosphere with subtle touches, which we achieved by adding feature walls, decorative tiles, and carefully selected furniture and accessories that harmonize with the existing interior design.

Our approach focused on creating a balanced look through a palette of white and brown. The crispness of white paired with the richness of brown brought warmth and contrast, providing an inviting foundation. To add cultural depth, we integrated semi-open screens with intricate patterns, along with décor that subtly nods to traditional Chinese design while maintaining a contemporary feel. These accents brought a serene and sophisticated touch without overwhelming the space.

This subtle yet impactful design was applied to the entrance lobby, living hall, kitchen, and bathrooms. Artistic DIY decorations were incorporated to further enhance the cozy, homely atmosphere. The result is a tranquil and stylish environment that seamlessly blends contemporary elements with a respectful nod to cultural heritage.
