This project aimed to visually expand the interior space by eliminating the interstitial elements within the unit. The idea of reflection and transparency of materiality helped to promote visual connection between kitchen, dining and living areas. The proper placement of glasses & mirrors made the enlargement effect possible.
The desired effect could only be achieved with a detailed assembly of glossy white & reflective surfaces. After all the components were composed, the result had been quite refreshing.
The owner is delighted with the outcome; they are able to communicate with their guest in dining hall while preparing their foods in the kitchen. Also, they can oversee their kids playing in living hall even from the remote corner of the kitchen. This design has successfully enhanced the reciprocal relationship between the spaces.
